In September 2017 the BART Board of Directors formally voted to include LGBT businesses in its procurement programs where the funding sources allow the engagement of the full spectrum of small, local, minority, women, Disabled Veteran and LGBT owned/certified firms. This historic level of inclusion was actively supported/advocated for by several BuildOUT Founders.
