This event was conceptualized by CMAA NorCal’s CODE (Creating Opportunity for Diversity and Equity) Committee under the leadership of Dominic Tafoya (who also serves as BuildOUT California’s Program Manager for our Transportation Working Group) which believes that creating a diverse and inclusive workplace leads to better employee engagement, improved decision-making, and a more innovative and dynamic culture.
Through a series of engaging presentations and panel discussions this event will explore the power of diversity and how we can champion inclusion in our industry and organizations. Our speakers will share what they are doing at an executive level to improve their organizations. We will also hear from industry leaders and experts on best practices for building and sustaining diverse and inclusive teams, from recruiting and training to creating a culture of belonging. The event will explore topics such as unconscious bias, cultural competence, and inclusive leadership, and provide practical tools and strategies for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
