AGC of California’s Construction Education Foundation awards BuildOUT California with their 2024 Build a Legacy Award!



The Association of General Contractors of California (AGC of California) Construction Education Foundation presented BuildOUT California with their 2024 Build a Legacy Award at their Tuesday, October 29, 2024 awards dinner. Milwaukee Tool and Turner Construction also received Legacy Awards for their outstanding contributions to building a stronger workforce within construction.

 

Erin Volk, Senior Vice President, Workforce & Community Development; Executive Director, Construction Education Foundation stated: “The AGC Construction Education Foundation celebrates BuildOUT California for its remarkable contributions to construction workforce development. Over the last four years, BuildOUT has been one of our most critical and strategic partners across our next-generation workforce, DE&I and small business development programs. Their commitment, innovation, and constant drive towards ‘setting the bar higher’ has made a significant impact throughout California and well beyond.”

 

The AGC Construction Education Foundation (AGC CEF) is a non-profit organization that provides resources and training to support the construction industry's workforce. The AGC CEF's mission is to:


  • Raise awareness of construction careers 

  • Connect people and communities to meaningful work 

  • Inspire the industry to be a place where people can grow and build lasting legacies 

 

AGC CEF offers a variety of programs and resources, including:


  • On-demand Training

  • AGC Edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) Education Program

  • Student Chapters are available at accredited schools that offer construction management, construction technology or construction-related engineering program.

  • AGC CEF also offers education grants, construction classes and student scholarships
