Over 300 general and specialty contractors, material suppliers, program and construction managers gathered under the “BuildOUT California Umbrella” on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, to hear from PG&E Executives regarding their historic 10,000-mile undergrounding initiative. Along with Jamie Martin, Matt Pender and Alejandro Serrudo (PG&E Executives leading efforts on the Undergrounding Initiative) featured guests for this event included those general contractors who currently hold contracts with PG&E for this project along with hundreds of LGBT, MBE, WBE and DVBE firms who have value-added solutions and products to support this massive infrastructure project.
“Any time you can meet face to face with key decision makers from both the owner’s perspective as well as those who hold current contracts on a massive project like this – it’s great” stated Sandra Escalante, CEO of Laner Electric Supply (a certified LGBT, MBE and WBE firm). “When you add to the mix BuildOUT California’s unique talent of bringing together leaders from across the A&E/Construction industry – it’s a recipe for amazing connections and long-term success” she added.
This is just the first event BuildOUT California will be hosting for undergrounding initiatives taking place throughout California.
